You reverted one incident of vandalism, then the vandal edited again, and then I reverted the whole mess back to eliminate the new edit, your revert (inadvertantly) and the original three unproductive edits (2 sections blanked and a line of gibberish). There was agreement by those who chose to participate on a talk page. There is also a bot that posts new policies to the Village pump after the template has been there a little while to make sure nothing slips past scrutiny. I put forth that the discussion was limited because this has already been how we do things for a very long time so making it policy is not controversial. There is no such requirement of "extensive discussion", I am not sure where you got that idea from. If you have any argument to make that it should not be a policy then make it on the talk page, but if your only argument that not enough process was followed then I am afraid that is not very convincing. Bubble Bobble

As for source about the Taito announcement, I remember reading about it in a magazine at the time but it was in 1996. Nowadays, it's a well-known fact and is written on many websites but they don't get any sort of value for verification, maybe this one would do: http://www.arcade-history.com/?n=bubble-bobble&page=detail&id=343 ? About the PCB part, the best proof I can give is that my girlfriend and I own the PCB that was used as reference for the home conversions, it still has a "Property of Probe Entertainment" sticker on it. Firstly, the "... director " statement was taken from elsewhere in the article, as a lead is supposed to summarise the whole article. Secondly, the sentence did have a citation that supported it ([1] Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew: website), which while not ideal should still be sufficient. If both answers are available in reliable secondary sources then they're equally valid. If the writers go on record clarifying the continuity error then you can write about that. Script

Hi. I am in the process of developing a script to automatically correct common misspellings in articles. The initial goal is for users to have a button at the top of the article which will open an edit window and do a search/replace to correct common misspellings. When the script completes, it then shows the changes and allows the editor to decide if the changes were correct. The goal is to have as few falsely corrected entries, so some of the entries on WP:LCM wouldn't be added. If you are interested in trying it out, let me know. My initial prototype only has entries from the "A" page. There are probably some minor bugs in there as well, but it won't commit any changes without approval. The script is at User:Symplectic Map/spell.js and you just have to include it in your monobook.js file, e.g., User:Symplectic Map/monobook.js. If you are using something other than the standard theme, it would have to be included there instead. It should work on Firefox and Google Chrome. I haven't tested Internet Explorer. I noticed a further helpful job of yours on the June Thomson's page. THX again but I still do have a few more questions about relevant/acceptable sources - simply " which ones are ? " I used the editor/publisher biography as available on the authors books back-covers ( a common practice among publishers of books in frecnh language ) or from foreword/introduction from my own library. June Thomson's infos for instance come from the french eds of her holmesian novels ( I collected them all as a fan ! ). I also used websites of book sellers ( commercial ones ) or forum of authors enthusiasts. I assumed that commercial links/websites may not be cited as WIKI is non commercial ( would look like some sort of covert advertising ?? ). Neither may I simply refer to " my own books collection " ( may I ?? ) or " such fans forum ". So what's acceptable ?? The beer is waiting you ! Broadly, any mass-published work (books, academic journals, etc.) is fine, just make sure you provide enough information to identify the book. Any original research by yourself, or by others, taken from web forums, is generally not suitable. More comprehensive guides are at WP:RS. If unsure about a specific source, you can discuss it on the reliable sources noticeboard.

Because they don't follow the rules. The articles you have linked to could not be entitled ACE or NME, moreover they do not contain any references to support (or indeed any mention of) these terms. Even if these guidelines were not clearly laid down, Wikipedia does not operate by following prescriptive rules. The reason that your entries were removed has been explained to you, and reflects the consensus of the majority of Wikipedia editors. Continued questioning and reversions are considered disruptive. The information contained within it is verifiable from the given sources. If you can prove otherwise, then feel free to change the article, justifying the ACE disambiguation. For N-methylamide, the disambiguation link is only justified if you can prove that the subject is notable and fit for inclusion in Wikipedia. No, no, no, no, no. Wikipedia is not a directory service for Google. A single Google hit does not justify a disambiguation entry. Disambiguation pages are to deal with existing articles that have the same title. If there is no article, then there should be no disambiguation entry. I did see the link you posted - it appears that ACE is being used as an internal marker for the purposes of that single study. There is nothing to suggest that the abbreviation is used in mainstream reliable sources. Just saying "google it" is not an acceptable argument on Wikipedia. If you have found a reliable source that supports your additions then give a direct citation for it. The burden of proof is on the person who adds the information to Wikipedia. N-methylamide does not have an article, so should not be added to any disambiguation pages. Have you yourself read WP:DAB and MOS:DAB before "daring" to change disambiguation pages? which articles seem to be a problem?

i've made a lot of edits, so i don't know what pages you want to bring to my attention. how is it a point of view to state that Jordan renamed the occupied territory of 1949 "the west bank"? it was called Judea before Jordan and their British allies conquered this land and ethnically cleansed it of Jews.
