Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Menotbot, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Menotbot, contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:46, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have not yet declared your conflict of interest, as required by WP:COI. Please do so immediately. You won't get another warning. WP:COI explains how to do so. --Yamla (talk) 15:40, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the notice. Declared. Oslo95 (talk) 08:54, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for doing that, Oslo95, and for sticking to that article's talk page. I sincerely appreciate it. --Yamla (talk) 14:14, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tables must close properly

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Several of your recent edits, including your edit of 14:35, 15 June 2020 of Unbroken (film), your edit of 14:36, 15 June 2020 of Leviathan (2014 film), and your edit of 14:00, 15 June 2020 of Tangerines (film), messed up the closing table markup, which is |} starting on a new line. Anything else results in a Table tag that should be deleted lint error and creates work for someone to come and fix it. Please be sure to close tables properly. Cheers! —Anomalocaris (talk) 23:35, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Anomalocaris. Will keep that in mind.--Oslo95 (talk) 08:42, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 10:37, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Most of my edits have been adding accolades on various articles. Although it has mostly been of awards from a specific organisation so far, I have always maintained a neutral point of view, and many of them do not even contain sentences to be analysed as advertisement or promotion. All the information were rightly sourced with the awarding organisation's nominations list on their webpage. I have not used any other Wikipedia accounts by myself. I request you to unblock me on the grounds stated above.Oslo95 (talk) 08:47, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
