You are engaged in an WP:EDIT WAR at The King and I. Edit warring is not permitted on Wikipedia, and if you continue, you may be blocked from editing. If you wish to explain why you wish to add the name of the non-notable actor to the article, you may do so on the article's Talk page. Thank you. -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:24, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ssilvers and Wehwalt: I have responded to the WP:Edit war accusation at The King and I's Talk page. -- Osnapitzjv (talk) 22:24, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

August 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at The King and I. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

IdreamofJeanie: I have made my case on The King and I talk page. They keep undoing my edits as well. It seems they are insistent on maintaining that a specific actor is non-notable. So what gives? Is it then OK that they are able to gatekeep the page since it's 2 against 1? They are engaging in the same reverting edit process as I am. There is no consensus to be made because it is either that the name will be included, or not included in the article. There's no compromise in this specific situation. -- Osnapitzjv (talk) 22:42, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yers, and having made your argument, you then again reverted the edit> That is not OK, that is continuing the edit war. Please stop your disruptive editing until an agreement is reached. IdreamofJeanie (talk) 22:45, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
