re: Tom Weihmayr (please restore)[edit]

Hello - thanks for the message. As I can see both in the above message and in the history of this page, you were indeed notified of the deletion discussion, which was opened on July 18. The message above was placed on July 18 (two minutes after the discussion was posted), which means you were notified of the discussion in an appropriate manner. I concluded the discussion on July 24 and deleted the article because the subject clearly does not meet the notability standards for people, specifically politicians, and other editors agreed.

I reviewed the discussion and the article, and I believe I made a good judgment. However, if you feel I did not close the discussion correctly, you can use the procedures at Deletion Review. Before opening a DRV, you should review the notability guidelines, Wikipedia's advice on writing articles about yourself or family members, and Wikipedia:Deletion policy.

Please do not be personally offended by the deletion. I have no vendetta, malice, or ill will toward you or the article, none at all. That said, there are some articles that are not of encyclopedic value, and those articles are often deleted after a fair discussion over a pre-determined period of time. Please let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any questions. Thanks. - KrakatoaKatie 03:03, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
