Welcome![edit]

Hello, PBCOM09041939, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Philippine Bank of Communications, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hello PBCOM09041939. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:PBCOM09041939. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=PBCOM09041939|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. – Frood (talk) 03:19, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Philippine Bank of Communications. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Philippine Bank of Communications, you may be blocked from editing. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 20:46, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for using this kind of username. I was just inclining the username to other platforms that we are using as corporate and would love to learn more regarding Wikipedia's agreement. Thank you

You have been blocked for spammy edits, as well as your user name. Your unblock request gives me no confidence at all that the spam will stop. Nick-D (talk) 10:08, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Username[edit]

Goodday Sir,

I am really sorry about the spammy edits and would love to learn more about Wikipedia policies. I was editing it a couple of times due to the deletion of the first edit that I made. I am new to this and still learning how Wikipedia platform works. I sincerely apologize for it. I will really appreciate if you unblock my account so I can do my work at the same time learn your policies. Thank you--PBCOM09041939 (talk) 02:57, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You are going to need to demonstrate that you are aware of and understand at least the policies involved with this block first, doing so in another unblock request. 331dot (talk) 09:33, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sir, with all the readings this past days, I am now aware of the policies Wikipedia have. The paid reference that I need to include in the edit page as well as the multiple edits that I was not aware of before. Due to lack of knowledge, I read all the links that causes the blocking of my account. I sincerely apologize for it and would love to learn more as I continue to explore the beauty of Wikipedia. Requesting to unblock and allow me to edit our company's profile for my deadline this Wednesday. Thank you. --PBCOM09041939 (talk) 00:29, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Hi PBCOM09041939/eirah2103, Wikipedia does not have "profiles" that belong to companies. You will not be unblocked to continue writing about your employer. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:42, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not concerned with any deadlines you might have. Wikipedia does not have a single "profile". Wikipedia has articles. Someone else will review your request. 331dot (talk) 00:39, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Help to make content update[edit]

I would like to request for your help regarding Philippine Bank of Communication. I would love to make a content update. There's new update regarding the said company and new goals and vision under new management. Also, requesting your help on how to unblock my account. thanks--PBCOM09041939 (talk) 06:33, 28 February 2020 (UTC)--PBCOM09041939 (talk) 06:31, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you commit to this
0. Write who is your employer at your personal page here and rename your account at Special:GlobalRenameRequest to remove company name from it
1. discard this deadline (tell employer)
2. No editing of pages about your employer. Request changes at the Talk pages of these articles. One at a time.
3. For the first two weeks only edit other topics, not about your employer. Use the tea house to ask which pages need help. Gryllida (talk) 07:50, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
When you are blocked, you can only use this page to request to be unblocked. You cannot use it to request that others edit for you. To be unblocked, you need to make a successful unblock request, as the block notice instructs. 331dot (talk) 09:24, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I guess the above, perhaps in some modified form, could be used as a base for an unblock request. Gryllida (talk) 07:53, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Personally I would want the time period to be much more than two weeks, more like 6 months. 331dot (talk) 09:53, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
