Conflict of interest at Paul J. Tikalsky[edit]

Information icon Hello, PJTikalsky. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Paul J. Tikalsky, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 32.218.107.96 (talk) 16:54, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:PJTikalsky/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. October 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Scope creep. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Paul J. Tikalsky, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. scope_creepTalk 16:09, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Paul J. Tikalsky[edit]

Hi @PJTikalsky: Don't edit your own again, please, or I'll need to try and get you blocked. It is deeply uncool to add unsourced content to an article, particularly your own article. It is beyond the pale. It is a WP:BLP. scope_creepTalk 16:13, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain pages (Paul J. Tikalsky) for refusal to communicate.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Valereee (talk) 16:38, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No objection to any other admin unblocking once we've got this editor's attention. Valereee (talk) 16:39, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Valeree,
The changes to my own biography Wiki were to clarify I changed postion, so as to not indicate I currently hold a position, that I do not. I fully understand conflict of interest issues and I manage them very carefully. I do not consider the minor edits to this Wiki to be self serving, advertising, or any other benefit to me personally. Edits were a factual clarification in the biography of a living person. There is a editor named Gråbergs Gråa Sång who removed most of the biography that is meaningful to Wiki readers. Many of those facts are the reason some would search and read the Wiki.
