You have recently created the article Howard Pittman. This was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate the article: if you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Kimchi.sg 06:32, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have decided to save you the trouble of going through deletion review and restored the article. I am not sure that it should stay, but think it should not have been speedily deleted. The problems with the article are that it is not clear that the author meets our notability guidelines, all the books seem to be published by small publishing houses and not available on amazon, and the Google hits I found were mostly Christian sites portraying his experience as real. He might still be notable in the context of near-death experiences: is he written about in major NDE works? Can you write more that shows how he is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia? You should expand these things or your article is likely to be deleted (through our slower processes that allow for discussion of the issue). Anyway, welcome to Wikipedia, a confusing place for newcomers, and happy editing.!Kusma (討論) 14:31, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. His book Placebo is on Amazon and I am not sure about his inclusion in major works on NDE. I will look into it and hopefully meet the requirments... BTW, I noticed the Admin who deleted me has a Userbox identifying his interest in atheism. I hope his personal views did not provoke him to run an unwarrented Speedy Delete on me as that would be a poor welcome to what I hope to be a fascinating site. Thanks again, PSKelligan 19:23, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Howard Pittman, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
