Yes, but be aware that a well-developed article is going to have genres according to authoritative sources. If you add or change genres with relatively weak sources such as Allmusic, you are likely to be reverted. Check out Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources and Wikipedia:Citing sources for more information.
