Information icon Hello, I'm Hayman30. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aethericism— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Note

[edit]

Because Wikipedia is not for promotion (see WP:PROMOTION and WP:ADVERT), there are notability policies on if articles can exist. If the topic becomes notable and significant coverage in independent sources occur, then Wikipedia could cover it. Also, please avoid modifying other editor's posts or votes. You can add your own vote, starting it with '''keep''' - <reason>. Note that these are not actual votes determined by count, but they must include valid arguments taking policies into account (see WP:!VOTE and WP:AFDEQ for more information on etiquette). It is also important not to vote from more than one account, otherwise all accounts could be blocked for sockpuppetry (WP:SOCK). I'll also add a standard message about conflict of interest below. Thanks, —PaleoNeonate11:46, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, PainterABC. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. —PaleoNeonate11:47, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
