Audric Empire[edit]

Hello Dan! I updated and added some new citations/references. #1 and #2 are from a California-based music magazine and #10 is from ABC television affiliate KVUE. I'm hoping these can be considered reliable sources so the article can be accepted. Thank you for any input and help you can provide! PalmTreesCoolBreeze (talk) 16:06, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi PalmTreesCoolBreeze, at the moment the article is struggling to meet the requirements of WP:NMUSIC. To start with a lot of the information in the article is original research, as it has no inline citations referencing reliable secondary sources. All the information in the article needs to have references as to where that information came from.
In respect to the references you have cited I will go through them one by one:
  1. Top Shelf Music website is questionable, as it doesn't provide any details of the editorial oversight. It is hard to say what position, Kristy Rose, has at the organization (i.e. is she a staff member or a private individual) and whether anyone has vetted her submission before it was published.
  2. as above
  3. podcasts are generally not considered as independent or reliable.
  4. Concert Archives.com is user generated without any independent editorial oversight - therefore unreliable and not an acceptable source
  5. Spotify is not an acceptable source, and in this case as its an interview with the band it is a primary source and not independent or reliable.
  6. The OC Weekly reference talks all about Opie Ortiz but there is nothing that refers to his work with Audric Empire
  7. The same applies with the U Discover Music website.
  8. The New Music Friday website is just a link to Spotify, which isn't an acceptable source - there is no coverage of the band
  9. YouTube is not an acceptable or reliable source
  10. KVUE (ABC) is essentially an interview with the band, which is a primary source and not independent or reliable.
  11. YouTube is not an acceptable or reliable source
Even if Top Shelf Music was determined to be an acceptable source, it would need to be supported by other reliable sources. As per S0091's suggestion you need to check out WP:WikiProject Albums/Sources for an idea of what are acceptable sources. I hope that gives you some idea as to why the draft article has been declined. If you are able to find additional reliable secondary sources to establish the band's notability then drop me a line on my talk page and I'll re-assess the draft for you.
