Canvassing

[edit]

It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:14, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

hi ToBeFree,
the article is semi-protected. so new users can't post there. It's not about taking a side, it's about covering all articles and all points of view. not sure why it warranted you deleting my posts. Panini-eskimo-Manitoba (talk) 21:14, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
to address your convassing user, I also posted on a different user's page. I tried other users but was not allowed to automatically due to auto-spam filter. Panini-eskimo-Manitoba (talk) 21:17, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to copyright, I understand it better than most people. I added the source. Panini-eskimo-Manitoba (talk) 21:22, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can't copy huge blocks of text from sources onto Wikipedia. That is a copyright violation. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 21:30, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
