A tag has been placed on The Sagg Taqwacore Syndicate requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. March 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from The Sagg Taqwacore Syndicate, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 03:51, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of The Sagg Taqwacore Syndicate[edit]

I have nominated The Sagg Taqwacore Syndicate, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Sagg Taqwacore Syndicate. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 21:09, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:18, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, nobody is trying to pick on you. It's just that the band does not meet Wikipedia's guidelines for notability, particularly WP:BAND. It stipulates that there must be significant, non-trivial coverage of a subject. Non-trivial coverage means substantial coverage, more than just one or two passing mentions. That means the articles are about the band specifically rather than the movement, or at least the band has significant coverage in reliable media sources. Please, believe me when I say that I want to help you keep the article. I've been searching for sources myself to try to keep them, but that can't happen if you just blame us for picking on you and throw up your hands. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page. I've been in your shoes before. Several of the articles I created when I first joined were deleted, and I was mad about it. But after I learned Wikipedia's policies, it helped me make them better and re-create them down the line so that they met Wikipedia's guidelines. Just remember that we are here to help.
