Speedy deletion of Skully & Squibham

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Skully & Squibham requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Rnb (talk) 17:15, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Bruised Bluenana, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ecoleetage (talk) 17:17, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Skully & Squibham, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Rnb (talk) 17:21, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Skully & Squibham. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Rnb (talk) 17:25, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Skully & Squibham. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Selket Talk 17:27, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Little context in Skully (cartoon character)

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Skully (cartoon character), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Skully (cartoon character) is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Skully (cartoon character), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 17:31, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of your recent contributions

[edit]

In order to be included in Wikipedia the subject of an article must meet our notability guidelines. This is often shown by including references to reliable, third-party sources (i.e., not related to wikipedia or the subject). If you do not explain why the subjects of these articles are notable, they will be deleted very shortly, if they haven't already. --Selket Talk 17:35, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, do not remove the speedy delete tags. You will get blocked for that. --Selket Talk 17:36, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copy of Skully & Squibham

[edit]

You requested here to be emailed a copy of your deleted page Skully & Squibham so that you could work to improve it and then create the page once you had addressed the notability and reliable sources issues. I have created a user sub-page for you at User:Papasmurf0810/Skully & Squibham. Feel free to improve the article there and then copy it over when it is ready. If you need any help place {{helpme}} on your talk page with a question. Also, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you need any help or have any questions. Sorry your first introduction to editing Wikipedia had to be so jarring. --Selket Talk 17:51, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:RealityAirlines.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:RealityAirlines.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:10, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Fall 2012 Tour (Kansas), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Tareqsalahi.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tareqsalahi.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:06, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Pete Snyder lieutenant gubernatorial campaign, 2013 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
