Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Pali. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 10:59, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Pariyatti, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. nonprofit and related field/ not spam[edit]

Hi there, I saw a couple of messages, and that the start of our nonprofit page has been removed, named 'spam'. This is not our intention at all. We are a nonprofit organisation, providing many free resources related to the teachings of the Buddha. I am working on creating copy about our organisation, as well as for pages in the related field. As I am researching wiki first, how the related links and network has already been established, I'd only added the first paragraph on the organization page, and a few links on one other page- meaning to come back on it some other time.

The intention is to contribute interesting, valuable, missing content, not spam.

When I was researching, I came across a page about our nonprofit and was wondering what's best: to keep the information about the organisation on that page, or create the nonprofit organisation page? what is the preference from wikipedia, and what are criteria to put content on either one or the other page. Thank you for response. warmly, Renate — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pariyatti (talkcontribs) 14:09, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I have not heard back on this. Hence I only added some source links to the page.

I'd appreciate a response here, to know how best to proceed. thank you kindly! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pariyatti (talkcontribs) 11:15, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Pariyatti. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Pariyatti (bookstore), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 11:05, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Salvio 11:40, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
