Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Wholesale translation from zh wikipedia to en wikipedia

[edit]

Hi there, as Tong Bing Yu is an existing English article on English Wikipedia, please stop doing wholesale translation of the article from Chinese Wikipedia into English Wikipedia. Make changes and updates, not overriding the English article as there are differences in policies and guidelines between the 2 Wikipedias. Thanks! --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 07:24, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Patriziatan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Tong Bing Yu, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Per your talkpage message here, you declared your COI here. Please do follow the COI instructions if you wish to edit articles related to Tong Bing Yu, her managing team and the artistes managed by the same managing team. Thanks! Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... Any rules or policies need to be taken note of while editing Wikipedia(EN and ZH)? Patriziatan (talk) 08:10, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I can only help with the English Wikipedia. You've already been made aware of the conflict of interest policy and policies on paid editing. Are you receiving any financial compensation for your edits to Wikipedia? Naleksuh (talk) 08:26, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, I didn't receive any compensation for the edits. Is there any ways to update the wiki page through someone else who is not under COI? Patriziatan (talk) 02:35, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Hi all, I was wondering what other ways to update or ask other people to update the certain wiki page without getting the COI tags? ThanksPatriziatan (talk) 09:45, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
