WP:OVERLINK[edit]

Just a quick heads up that you're placing wikilinks at the second occurrence after the lead in all of those NFL draft articles. EricEnfermero HOWDY! 05:49, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Only in some instances, which it is more important to keep the trend over the other NFL Draft Articles, which will aid the reader. I did not start this you can look at other articles.

Correct. In some instances it's okay to have a link in the first mention after the lead, but not even in all instances would that be okay. I'm not intending to assign blame to you. I'm just trying to help us figure out what those articles should look like according to WP guidelines. My concern is more that we standardize across WP (which is part of the intent of having such guidelines), not that we have a small subset of articles that do things their own way.
