Hi Paul. As the corporate archivist for IBM, I see no problem in your contributing to Wikipedia if you follow a few rules. First, don't add your expertise knowledge to the article; use only information from Wikipedia reliable sources that are independent of IBM. Second use only information from Wikipedia reliable sources that are independent of IBM. If IBM has produced a written document about IBM or anyone connected with IBM has produced a written document about IBM, that material is not usable for the IBM articles. In other words, IBM and those connected with IBM can't supply sourced material for its Wikipedia article. Wikipedia's articles on IBM should convey what independent, third party's say about IBM. As the corporate archivist for IBM, you have probably access to the many old, independent reliable source materials about IBM. This is where your expertise can help. An article IBM - The early years or IBM - The first year using independent, reliable source material would be great. You probably are in a good position to think of other ways to combine the independent, reliable source material about IBM into other topics and create new articles on IBM. -- Jreferee t/c 23:31, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
