Pavneet Kalsi's Peer review[edit]

The original article consists of a single brief section on magnetotaxis, which is why instead of editing that brief section it was more appropriate to add a new subheading like Pavneet did on the magnetosome, the organelle structure that is responsible for magneto taxis in Bacteria, therefore it was a good choice of structure format since it adding the structure that causes the phenomenon after describing the phenomenon follows a logical and sequential order. The edited content is relevant and related to the rest of the article by going more in depth about the magneto some and therefore highlights the importance of magneto taxis and gives it more context. His main idea is how the magneto some works and how it contributes to magneto taxis in Bacteria which is supported by numerous sources of evidence (12 in total). Overall the topic is thoroughly covered, but instead of focusing so much on the structure of the magneto some it would have been interesting to know more on how the actual response to the magnetic field works by the magneto some. He briefly mentions it is passive. There is nothing off-topic. In general the added content is unbiased and is simply added to highlight the importance of magneto taxis and give more context. The content is written in a well-structured mannerly going in depth on the composition and structure of the magnet some. He also describes how bacteria harness the power to make magneto taxis and even explains how did is beneficial to bacteria in the environment and gives an evolutionary context. The ides flow in a logical order but there were some run-on sentences and some typos were present. There was no paraphrasing involved. The added content was overall unbiased and provided a neutral point of view. All ideas are connected to a reliable source and therefore it makes the article information seem balance although there was a tendency to focus to much on the mechanistic aspect of the magneto some, a lot of numerical data and composition data is given, but less is presented on the evolutionary and environmental context. All statements seems to be corroborated by the source, although one of the links was not working for me. Maria.mendizabal (talk) 00:19, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
