If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Paul Blunden requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vrenator talk 13:29, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. This is an unusual situation. First let me say that Wikipedia is extremely anxious to get anything about living persons right, we have a strong policy about it at WP:Biographies of living persons, a help page for anyone affected at WP:BLP/H, and a notice-board for discussing any issues at WP:BLP/N.

The next thing to say is that Wikipedia is intended to be an encyclopedia, and not a sort of super-LinkedIn-plus-Myspace where people and companies write themselves up. The WP:Notability requirement to have an article requires references that show "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject", and the WP:Autobiography and WP:Conflict of interest guidelines are intended to discourage people from writing about themselves and their own companies. The idea is that if a person or a company is really notable, someone other than themselves and their PR departments will be interested enough to write an article.

Company accounts are not allowed and are blocked at sight, partly for legal reasons to do with the license, partly because company accounts invariably have a COI. So I was extremely surprised to see, when I started looking into your question, that Foviance had for over three years had a company account as user Foviance (talk · contribs) which had been writing up the company and its CEO, and preparing sandbox articles about its other people.

Somebody else has already noticed this, the account has been blocked, and the articles about the company and its CEO are the subject of a deletion debate at WP:Articles for deletion/Foviance.

I am undecided what to do immediately about the sandbox pages, and am inclined to wait for the result of the AfD debate. In the meantime, I have corrected the nonsense date of birth in yours, and have marked them all "Userspace draft", which will have the effect of removing them from Google's radar, so that they will drop off its search results in a few days. Already the sandbox page is halfway down the second page of your Google results.

Do I gather that you are no longer with Foviance? In that case, there is certainly no need for them to have a sandbox page about you.

Having considered overnight, I have checked that you are no longer with Foviance, and deleted the sandbox page. Both pages will drop off Google soon. By the way, the word "entrepreneur" is mis-spelled on your profile at t.co/Cz0Avtye. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:10, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
