Notes[edit]

Hi! I saw that you added some content to the article on Nancy Hartsock. I have some notes, plus I've done some tweaking to the article:

  • Avoid euphemisms like passed away. They're imprecise and may be confusing to editors who are unfamiliar with the term. It's not something that you'd really think of and to be honest, I wasn't aware of it until I used the phrase myself in an article, so no worries on this end.
  • I removed the section that mentioned marriage and cats. This is the sort of thing that isn't really of intense interest to Wikipedia per se - if she was married then that would be mentioned, but since she didn't it's not really something to highlight in the article, nor would the cats.
I also moved all of the content about her personal life to a new section on her personal life. I also replaced the words "passion for" with something a little more neutral, as these are common marketing buzzwords - not something you'd really be aware of since this is somewhat unique to Wikipedia. Along with this, I tweaked some of the sections and renamed one.
  • I removed the lines at the intro to fit Wikipedia's writing style as far as leads go. Also avoid using the first name in the article, with the exception of when we're introducing Hartsock, as using her first name is too casual.
  • This needs more sourcing to establish notability - right now all of the sourcing is primary and as such, can't establish notability. This needs independent, reliable sources.

I hope this helps! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:50, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
