A tag has been placed on Draft:Neuro ProActive, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Why have you done this? I can’t even talk to the person who deleted the article because my account is now blocked…

Please can you put this back up. We’re trying to help 12.5m people in the UK and my article concerns several referenced facts on neurological conditions which I was hoping to add to.

Those references are medical facts and not advertisingPearceia (talk) 19:53, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help me[edit]

My draft page on Neuro ProActive has been deleted. I have also been blocked. I see no reason for this. I was attempting to publish a factual article on a digital platform which aims to help 12.5m people in the UK. I was referencing several articles on neurological conditions and the scale of this problem in the article. None of this is advertising. It is all factual. Please unblock me and restore this page.Pearceia (talk) 20:03, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You have not yet addressed whether you are have been paid for your contributions or otherwise have a conflict of interest. Please address those concerns, and then take a look at Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks. You may also find the introduction to policies and guidelines and the notability guideline useful. Thank you. — Lauritz Thomsen (talk) 20:12, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have absolutely not been paid for my contributions. I think it’s pretty clear from the article I attempted to publish that it was factual and correctly referenced. The deletion and block happened extremely quickly. I read all the guidelines before I wrote the article… Pearceia (talk) 20:16, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You said "We’re trying to help...". Who is we, and how are you connected to the subject? Please address whether you have a conflict of interest. Thank you. — Lauritz Thomsen (talk) 20:30, 21 August 2021 (UTC) Edited — Lauritz Thomsen (talk) 20:32, 21 August 2021 (UTC): This was addressed further below[reply]

Lauritz Thomsen asked who is “we” above. “We” is the founding partners and hundreds of stroke survivors, clinicians etc in the UK. The article is entirely factual (it has to be for medical device registration) and not advertising.Pearceia (talk) 20:46, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Please help me with... It seems that Draft: Neuro ProActive was deleted because you think I was paid for my contribution (which I have absolutely not) and that the page was advertising (and it isn’t as I referenced several medical facts regarding neurological rehabilitation).

Please unblock me and if you need more information concerning this page please do ask. Pearceia (talk) 20:22, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Since you have doubled down on the legal threats even after my warning, I will decline this request. You will now, in order to be unblocked, need to withdraw any and all legal threats. While we cannot stop you from pursuing legal action, you cannot make legal threats on Wikipedia, nor can you edit if you have a legal action underway. You can pursue your grievances in the courts of your country or on Wikipedia, but not both simultaneously. As I said, there are proper channels to address any incorrect information in any article without threatening legal action. Furthermore, even if you have the good motives that you have and no profit motivation, I find it difficult to believe that you derive no income from this work whatsoever. Please read the unblock appeals guide to learn how to write an acceptable unblock request. 331dot (talk) 23:36, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have interpreted your statement as an unblock request and formatted it as such. 331dot (talk) 20:25, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What connection do you have with Neuro ProActive? I don't think you wrote about it by chance. 331dot (talk) 20:27, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am one of the founding partners. It’s taken four years for us to get to this point and the article was also aiming to highlight the scale of neurological conditions in the UK through referenced articles. We’re trying to help 12.5m people in the UK. Pearceia (talk) 20:30, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What is going on with my account please?Pearceia (talk) 21:42, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are you not paid as a founding partner? Even if not, it is a conflict of interest(please read). 331dot (talk) 21:46, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, I’m not paid as a founding partner. I understand your conflict of interest policy. It’s a shame that this isn’t made clearer during the article creation process.

Furthermore, and this is important, I have taken all necessary steps to ensure that this page is factual. If Wikipedia were to publish an article on Neuro ProActive in the future which is factually incorrect and therefore jeopardises our medical device registration, we reserve the right to take legal action against Wikipedia.Pearceia (talk) 22:02, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So you are a founder out of the goodness of your heart? You aren't making a living at it? Please be aware of No Legal Threats. You cannot create an article merely to preempt someone else from creating an article. Articles are typically written by independent editors who take note of a subject in independent reliable sources and choose to write about it, summarizing what those sources say and showing how the subject meets Wikipedia's special definition of notability. If any article has incorrect information, there are proper ways to address that. 331dot (talk) 22:23, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

“So you are a founder out of the goodness of your heart?” - The answer is yes. If you must know, I did this after my father had a stroke. Try and tread a little more carefully in the future.

Were an article to appear on Wikipedia, I do hope your independent editors get it right. If Wikipedia jeopardises the registration of Neuro ProActive as a medical device, there will be severe consequences. And I’m afraid MDR is an actual regulation which is supersedes any policy Wikipedia may have. I’m sure you’re an expert on Medical Device Regulation.Pearceia (talk) 22:30, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Since 331dot doesn’t understand medical device regulation, i suggest 331dot writes an article only based on information found on www.NeuroProActive.com and references articles from the Neurological Alliance and the Stroke Associatiom among others. Maybe this would be acceptable to the policies and ensure that any and all information is factually correct?Pearceia (talk) 09:59, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm still here. Wikipedia is not a place to merely provide information; it is a place to summarize what independent reliable sources state. The organizations you mention seem to be affiliated with the platform you wrote about, so that would not be acceptable for establishing notability. Writers do not need to understand medical device regulation to be able to summarize independent reliable sources. If a law or regulation in your country requires Wikipedia to do something, you should communicate that to the Wikimedia Foundation. As I stated, there are proper channels to address any incorrect information in any article without making legal threats. If you want to be unblocked, please make an unblock request as described below; otherwise, there is nothing more to do here. 331dot (talk) 11:04, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I’ve already made an unblock request. You have decided to turn it down. You openly doubted my motivation for developing this platform which is unacceptable. If you have a problem with anyone developing a platform to help 12.5m people, what have you ever done? There is nothing left to say as I have far better things to do than argue with keyboard warriorsPearceia (talk) 16:01, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No "keyboard warrior" here, just an editor. Nor do I have a problem with what you are doing. I am by no means the last word; you may make a second unblock request for someone else to review. What you need to do to get unblocked has been made very clear to you. I hope that you do so, but if you don't wish to, that's your business. I regret causing bad feelings, but I don't regret working to see policies are followed. Good day to you. 331dot (talk) 17:21, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There is also a difference between doubting your motivation and merely questioning it; I was doing the latter. I have no reason to disbelieve what you say- even if it seems odd to me that you are apparently not making a living doing this important and beneficial work. 331dot (talk) 17:23, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nah, you’ve shown your colours with “So you are a founder out of the goodness of your heart? You aren't making a living at it?“. It seems odd to you because you’re obviously not built to serve. Some people prefer to sip chai lattes and wear a peace symbol T-Shirt. You need to walk the walk, pal. Like I said, I’m done with this nonsense.

Then I don't understand why you won't request unblock from someone else, but that's your decision. If I'm so wrong you should have no difficulty convincing someone else. You've made this about me when it isn't. I apologize for giving offense. Not my intention, and I do wish you the best. 331dot (talk) 18:45, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What’s the point in requesting an unblock from someone else? They’re clearly as belligerent as you are. Lauritz Thomsen is the only other ‘editor’ I’ve come across. Apologise all you like, it’s of little significance when you’ve embarrassed yourself like you have. Do some background reading into neurological conditions. You’ll find that the USA is top of that particular league table. I guess Wikipedia is only interested in pages for Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft etc.

As I said, I’m done with this nonsense. All I want to know is how I delete my accountPearceia (talk) 10:18, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry to hear that; I think there are many things here that you don't understand about Wikipedia but it seems that you don't care to be educated about, and instead prefer to respond to my civil discussion with attacks. In any event, accounts cannot be deleted for technical and legal reasons, as all edits must be attributable to someone. You may, however, simply abandon your account. 331dot (talk) 15:07, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
