The reason that other commercial sites are listed in Wikipedia is that there is a difference between an article about a commercial site, and an article that is just an advert.

Also, I am hereby notifying you that your username, "Peedon", is unacceptable; I strongly suggest that you abandon this account and start a new one, since I will be blocking this one within the next 24 hours. DS 16:44, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation[edit]

Okay, look. If you were "P. Don", that would be different. But as such, it looks like you're saying that you enjoy urolagnia. Did it really never occur to you before?

I know that you don't mean it that way, but it sets a bad precedent if we accept names like that.

Next, as for what counts as solely promotional and what doesn't - the play.com article, which you pointed out to me? You may not have noticed this, but it includes a brief history of the company, as well as criticism.

Here's an important question, Paul. Are you personally involved with 101CD? If you are, then you shouldn't be the one to create the article. How can anyone properly judge if their own project / business / best friend / whatever is truly notable? If soemone who isn't involved with 101CD decides "hey, they should have an article", that's entirely different. But we don't let people create articles on themselves or their own projects.

Okay? DS 18:45, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
