To make refs appear at the bottom of a page, just add

Also, an easier way to link to Wikipedia pages is to enclose the words in double brackets. For example, this [[Google]] produces this Google. If you want to use words other than the article's title to link to a page, just include a pipe symbol | after the article's name and before the text you want to display. The pipe symbol is obtained by pressing Shift - \

Example: This [[Google|a search engine]] produces this a search engine.

Ah yes, image policy: the single most difficult subject on Wikipedia, IMHO. OK, basically, if you took the picture yourself, you can do whatever you want with it. As to the promo shot from band's old website, you would probably not be able to use it. Wikipedia only allows the use of copyrighted images, among other things, when no free alternative can possibly be obtained. An example would be Google's official logo on this page. That image is copyrighted, but since there is no way to make a free alternative (Even if you generated the image yourself using Photoshop, it would still be a derivative work, and under copyright) and it significantly increases the quality of the article, and does not hurt Google in any way, the article "Google" has a copyrighted image.

The band you are talking about is (I assume :P ) made up of people who are still alive. Thus, it would be possible for someone to take their picture at a concert or something.
