Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Penelope456. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Terry Rossio, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ 17:05, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jeff G.. I noticed that you recently removed content from Terry Rossio without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   — Jeff G. ツ 17:48, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Terry Rossio, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Please stop. Wikipedia is not censored. Any further changes which have the effect of censoring an article, such as you did to Terry Rossio, will be regarded as vandalism. If you continue in this manner, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Cahk (talk) 08:29, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
