Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to RT (TV network), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. __meco (talk) 07:20, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I noticed that your username (PepeEscobar) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because "[it] gives and renders an impression of impersonation". If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. — KC9TV 15:33, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is absolutly nothing wrong with this name at all because it is a valid name. If there is a problem you guys can change my name and it will be okay. PepeEscobar talk 9 May 2012 11:43 (UTC)

It might be a good idea to change it - you could probably change to PepeEscobarFan, or something like that (not IamPepeEscobar, of course...). We can't change it - that's a bureaucrat job, but it you go to the link above and select Simple, it should be straightforward. Peridon (talk) 20:17, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I concur with Peridon that you should change the name if you are going to continue contributing here; the subject matter you're dealing with and the name you're using make me worried about people thinking you're that Pedro Escobar. If you are him, could you send an email to info-en@wikimedia.org from an official address to confirm your identity? If not, please change your username here. Danger! High voltage! 17:29, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Media bias, you may be blocked from editing. AV3000 (talk) 22:30, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, PepeEscobar, matches the name of a well-known, living person.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You are welcome to continue to edit under this username, but we ask the following:

  1. Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
  2. Please send an e-mail to info-en@wikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles e-mail is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Danger! High voltage! 21:38, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
