Disambiguation link notification for April 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Louise Penny, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page English (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:46, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected. I will try to remember. Per W (talk) 17:36, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bornholm Cable moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Bornholm Cable, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 11:05, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the content can be included in the electricity sector articles for Denmark, with some improvements. TGCP (talk) 19:51, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delta (orienteering club) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Delta (orienteering club), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your page to draft space (with a prefix of Draft: before the article title) where you can work on it with minimal disruption. When you feel that it meets our notability and neutrality requirements, and is thus ready for mainspace, please submit it using the Articles for Creation template on the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:29, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reviewing my article, Justlettersandnumbers! Apart from the missing references for the members of the club, what more pieces of information lack sources? I have presented the basic facts and the major success of the club. I can add more medals that it won. Per W (talk) 14:07, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Per W! I think it's great that you're adding stuff about sport that, for once, is not football of one kind or another. For articles about clubs and the like, our notability guideline is this; I moved this page to draft to allow you to add enough solid independent reliable sources with in-depth coverage of the club to demonstrate that it meets that guideline. Pages with insufficient sourcing to show notability are liable to be nominated for deletion, new pages particularly so. If you like I will also move Vehkalahden Veikot to draft, as I think it too is vulnerable. I haven't looked at your other edits. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 14:20, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Then let's keep the discussion in one place, Justlettersandnumbers! Both clubs belong (or belonged) to the 25 best ones in Finland. That can be measured by the number of medals in relays. Also the newspapers (at least the Swedish ones) mention the runners of these clubs and what happened during the competitions. I have access to a database with Swedish newspapers, where there are also lots of mentions of the clubs together with a runner in individual races. In Finland there should be more sources. Per W (talk) 14:31, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Per W, I think I'm going to disengage from this conversation – once again I learn that there is a local consensus for sports notability that is totally at variance with the project-wide consensus (in this case, WP:NCORP). I try not to engage with any sports-related article for just that reason – we have, for example, strict notability requirements for academics based on actual achievement, but anyone who has ever kicked a ball and been paid for it is apparently "notable". I'm sorry to have troubled you, thank you for your courteous willingness to discuss. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:53, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I basically agree with you, Justlettersandnumbers, about the risk of having too low criteria for presumed notability. Just for the sake of completeness (for others reading this discussion), I add that I try to concentrate on the top athletes and on the top clubs, on those that have actually achieved something. --Per W (talk) 18:13, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
