College Woodwork

[edit]

A tag has been placed on College Woodwork requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. justinfr (talk) 17:36, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hi Persons, I have removed the speedy tag from College Woodwork and encourage you to expand the article. Adding references can go a long way in improving it. If you need any help or have any questions you can contact me on my talk page. Jon513 (talk) 17:46, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the section on the history because it is a copyright violation of their website. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

Re: Thanks

You're welcome. It can be a bit overwhelming starting out as an editor, but I'm glad you decided to contribute. I was probably a bit hasty in tagging College Woodwork, if it's over a century old, so I apologize and hope you can expand it into a great article! justinfr (talk) 17:59, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 11:53, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Clarington Series.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
