[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Northeast High School (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\byoutube\.com' (link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL-IArhwJE0) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Speedy deletion of Hammer of glory

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Hammer of glory requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 12:22, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Hammer of glory. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.

As it happens, I agree. However I simply can't see why this needs a whole article to itself so I've marked it for deletion unless it's improved.

BTW we don't sign articles in wikipedia andy (talk) 12:46, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Andy: I see you are a "recently created article" patroler, and I support that effort. I appreciate your help. I'm kind of new here, and I'm working on the article as we speak. It's pretty notable here, but no worries.

Please forgive my rookie error - don't sign articles. A little time is all I'm asking for, thanks.

Looks like I figured out the hangon stuff. I'm getting permissions, figuring out photo and video links/sources.

Petelav (talk)

  • Hangon is only for speedy deletions (because they're, well, speedy). For a standard deletion proposal like the one that's now in place you have several days to answer the concerns expressed in the deletion notice. If you're satisfied that you've done so, you can remove the notice.
In this case you will have to be confident that you've met the notabililty criteria at WP:N, which in a nutshell are that the "HOG" should have received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. For example articles (plural) in reputable newspapers that are actually about the hammer rather than merely passing references. andy (talk) 14:56, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Andy. It was in the Philadelphia Inquirer and all major TV news outlets, those will be our significant and independent sources. I'm getting permissions. Petelav (talk) 11:56, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Don "Joe Sixpack" Russle with the HOG.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
