Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at William Weir, 1st Viscount Weir, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 04:27, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - thanks for your feedback, but I have included reliable sources. Weir's aggressive industrial relations approach is documented at Footnote 1, which links to the University of Strathclyde's digital archive which reproduces Weir's own memorandum blaming trade union practices for restraining munitions production. The rest of the edits are referenced by my article in the peer-reviewed The International Journal for the History of Engineering & Technology, 2023 pp.1-19. doi:10.1080/17581206.2023.2237080.
thanks again Peterewer (talk) 04:34, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I can't help feeling that you are here mostly to insert your own publications into articles. It would be great if your expertise were spread among articles you haven't yourself written about, and it would also be great if you adhered to our guidelines when citing. For instance, in this edit, you are not conforming to the established citation format, which cites name, year, page number. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 04:30, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

thanks again, but as above, my edits don't refer only to my work (see the reference to the University of Strathclyde digital archive), and in any event, my work is peer-reviewed and thus meets appropriate academic standards Peterewer (talk) 04:37, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
