Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Korean BBQ freshcut.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:03, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Korean Noodle

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you created two different articles with the same content: Korean cold noodle and Korean spicy noodle. One should be a redirect to the other, but it would probably be best to merge the content into the article Korean noodle. →EdGl 06:42, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question regarding images

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Korean cuisine related articles. The articles really are what people who want to know Korean cuisine. However, I have a question for you. Are the images you uploaded taken by yourself? Their quality is really good, but the rationales are not sufficient. If you're the copyright holder of them, I will implement information to the image pages from being deleted. Thanks--Appletrees (talk) 12:15, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fix your image rationales. When you upload images, you should select proper one such as PD-Self, GFDL, CC-By-SA, etc. --Appletrees (talk) 22:43, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your images on sushi

[edit]

Please refrain from linking to your blog. It can be considered advertising. For the licensing purposes, the Author field of your images should contain your name instead of a link to your blog. Thanks! /Carson 21:47, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Do not add links to your blog to External links, References, etc. Since this is your blog, it is self-promotion and a conflict of interest. /Carson 21:56, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Korean cuisine. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Several people already told you not to insert your blog link. I appreciate your contribution:uploading images, creating articles, all of which are welcome, but do not use Encyclopedia pages as your AD campaign.--Appletrees (talk) 03:01, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: Image:Seafood Kimchi Jeon.jpg

[edit]

Image:Seafood Kimchi Jeon.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:Image:Korean pancake-Haemul kimchijeon-01.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[Image:Korean pancake-Haemul kimchijeon-01.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 20:08, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Korean loins.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Korean loins.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 22:07, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
