Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Petewall003. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article LZ7, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Walter_G%C3%B6rlitz&oldid=prev&diff=809475167

As for your edits, they're of poor quality and do not follow guidelines. You repeated information in the opening paragraphs and in the body. The addition of references violates several rules. And finally, articles fall behind, but removing material is not appropriate. You removed genres and existing content because it didn't suit the label. All of these edits are problematic. Updating the article is not a problem though. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:32, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to LZ7, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Adding content to be up to date

[edit]

Hi there,

Thanks for your help on this article, I understand more of the policies now and thank you for your help and direction. I appreciate that content should not now be removed without reason.

However the content on the opening paragraph is still factually inaccurate and needs to be updated to reflect to evolution of the band. They are not now a Christian hip hop and dance group. They have evolved to be an EDM group, focussing on mainstream releases, not christian hip hop and dance. This needs to be reflected in the opening paragraph. I will make a further update to try and reflect the evolution of the group without deleting/ information content that is historical. 82.29.138.192 (talk) 16:55, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
