August 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s and 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • can have many roles allowing infinite flexibility for any small force deployment at minimal cost. ]|url=http://www.mpodt.com}}</ref>
  • small force deployment at minimal cost. Tis vehicle was unveiled at DESi in September 2013.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.mpodt.com</ref>

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 22:34, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You asked about these notifications at User talk:A930913/BracketBotArchives/ 4#BracketBot - PhilipIngram. BracketBot is an automated program that merely notifies you about mismatched brackets, such as those you introduced in your reference fragment. We indeed have a policy against edit warring which states that you should not revert edits more than thrice in 24 hours - the three-revert rule. That's not, however, a permission to revert that often in all circumstances or to revert a fourth time after 24 hours and 30 seconds. What you added to the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) article doesn't deal with that article's topic at all but rather is, for all I can tell, gushing praise for an unrelated armored vehicle. Such promotional additions are known as spam and are not appropriate for an encyclopedia; edit-warring to keep that content in the article will indeed likely see you blocked. If it "will be published in the press in about a 10 days time", how do you know about it? Are you perchance associated with the company that manufactures that vehicle? Then you should have a look at Wikipedia's guideline on conflicts of interest; Wikipedia is not the place to advertise your company's products. Huon (talk) 19:58, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. I am One of Many (talk) 08:17, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
