Request reason:

Phlume is my online handle and identity. I have ha it for 20+ years online all the way back to the very VERY early days of Angelfire, Geocities and so forth. It comes from my band in college. Everything spins from that source. Phlume MEDIA the company came after the handle. I see the correlation, and it can easily be seen as created to populate for the business, however this is not the case. Phlume MEDIA was founded in 2017... I believe I've been on this site for much longer.

I did disclosed the potential conflict of interest in the talk page prior to working on my encyclopedia entry of the company. I put it into draft mode long before I was finished adding information. I did not use the site as a sales platform. I am trying to establish the organization with additional legitimate web links for the agency as we grow. Decline reason:

Even in December 2008 when you created your account, using a group name(such as a band) as a username was not permitted. That you took the name of your agency from that just compounds the issue. Every use of your username advertises your business. We aren't concerned with your username elsewhere, or your online presence. If you want to use your business name as part of your username("JohnDoe of Phlume") that would be acceptable. Regarding your edits, I'm not sure who you got your Wikipedia editing tips from, but Wikipedia has no interest in enhancing search results for your business or in driving traffic to its website. Wikipedia is not meant as a means of conferring legitimacy on a topic such as a business- the vast majority of businesses do not merit Wikipedia articles. This is not a database that summarizes everything that exists, this is an encyclopedia that simply summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage say about topics deemed notable by Wikipedia, such as a notable organization. I see you declared a conflict of interest, you need to make the stricter paid editing disclosure, a Terms of Use requirement; you won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your business or its clients. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a more general contributor(despite having had an account for 15 years-ish, you hadn't edited until last month), editing about topics for which you have no conflict of interest, please tell what those might be.
