MEDRS

In your edit to Hinokitiol, you added a biomedical claim that was supported only by primary sources. This runs counter to WP:MEDRS which requires secondary sources for medical content. Please make sure you are familiar with MEDRS if you intend to edit articles that may use medical sources in future. --RexxS (talk) 18:21, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You've just added two more sources that you've found by googling for "Hinokitiol". Both of them are simply collections of academic papers and are not the kind of secondary sources we need. Please review MEDRS and try to understand what makes a secondary source useful to Wikipedia. More importantly, both of the sources you added describe experiments conducted in vitro. That is the weakest sort of evidence as it is not possible to extrapolate from in vitro effects to in vivo and cannot indicate any side effects that the chemical can have on humans. I've moved the conclusion of the study into the research section as it is very preliminary evidence. --RexxS (talk) 09:44, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
