That is alright, I actually don't know much about the topic, it just landed on my watchlist after I edited one time. I hope that you don't have any problems expanding the references for the works. I would suggest using Template:Cite news for your sources, that way you can make sure you use a consistent citation style with the rest of the article. While you do that, you may want to add urls to the template. In addition, remember to pay attention to the talk page of the Article as well. Sadads (talk) 21:37, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Phooey108. It was brought to my attention that you originally contributed text from Chomsky's Understanding Power to the Gulf War article. Unfortunately, this one done in a way that violates WP:COPYVIO as too much of the text you inserted came directly from Chomsky's book. As a result, there's a tag over the section now titled Iraqi-American diplomacy warning about this issue.

Since Chomsky relies so heavily on two articles by Knut Royce to describe the deals proposed to then National Security Adviser Scowcroft by an anonymous Iraqi official, I strongly feel it's best to rewrite that section and base the citations on Royce's articles, if the community feels like the information he reports should be retained in the article. It is important to note, however, that there is debate about the authoritative weight those proposals had (See, for instance, chapter 10 of Lawrence Freedman and Efraim Karsh, The Gulf Conflict: Diplomacy and War in the New World Order, 1990-1991 (Princeton, 1993).) Sadly, I cannot find those articles as I've searched for them extensively in a few databases that archive stories from Newsday since 1988. Is there any chance you have copies of those articles or know of a source where they can be obtained? Do you happen to know who added even more excerpts from those articles into the Wikipedia article? Your help is greatly appreciated, good sir. Enderandpeter (talk) 03:42, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
