I think you were right to post those articles but I believe they should have been put under one artcle not four and you're not the only person having problems with Someguy (one being me). List of Chinese Martial arts

Hi Photodude - at least one of the editors has taken the view that only arts with references can be on the list. I had one deleted which made me a bit grumpy. Your entries are still up but I dont know how long for . I think that the criteria for inclusion on a list should be clearly visible at the start of a list. Something to add? Glad to be of assitance. Saw a Xmas lights display on someones house with "Jesus" and then a 6 sided star. "Hey that the Star of David" I thought, "thats a strange combination" then it struck me "Christmas is the celebration of the birth of a Jewish baby". The things they didnt tell me in Sunday school. Happy Hanukkah. On a Wiki topic I've been looking at another list at Sobriquet sp? and am still thinking that lists are better if they have the criteria for inclusion stated at the start of the list, that way readers know what the list actually represents and editors know what can/shouldnt be added. Hi - I linked the 2 MA sites in your post 21 December - but only 1 is a list as far as I can see. Am I missing something? if not, what is the name of article with poor list? I'd now like to brazenly "try and change your mind" (attempted humour). If the criteria is explicitly stated at the start of a list, then readers of the encyclopedia can understand why something is included in the list and why something may not be on the list. List of Chinese martial arts is pretty straightforward and the only instance I can imagine needing the explicit criteria is someone who has a fairly unique C m a in town looking at the present list and wondering why the fairly unique C m a is not there, while if the criteria were explicit they could think "Maybe it hasnt got a separate Wikipedia entry yet." Your additions to the Chester entry

Thanks for doing some work on the Chester entry. However, some of the places you have added are not suburbs or parts of the city itself, but are parts of the greater district or division of Cheshire known as City of Chester, for which there is a separate entry. I know this is confusing, and I am trying to think of a way to make this dictinction more clear. But would it be too much trouble to reconsider some of your entries and put them in the appropriate district entry if they are not already there? If you do not have the time, I will do it, but it should be done soon, I think.

Incidentally, I've listed a proposed project concerning Cheshire on Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals. I think it can easily co-exist with Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography. Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, the only non-primary sources cited are a college paper, and at least one of those articles isn't even primarily about the subject. Sure, you can reference such a book! That would very likely make a viable second source, there's no requirement that sources must be in English or available online. (In fact, offline sources often add a great deal of depth to an article.) If you can give me the author(s), year of publication, publisher, and title, I can certainly help you write up a reference. Well, you had to throw me a tough one! :) I don't know that a direct citation, as such, would be necessary for the work of art itself-that might work better integrated into the prose, as for example "The (painting/sculpture/etc.) (work title) was displayed at the (year) Something Exhibition in Some City," and then perhaps citing that exhibition's website or program, if available, as a source for that. Have a look at WP:BABEL, there are editors listed there that speak about every language you can imagine. If you contact someone, I imagine they'd be willing to help.
