New Fairfield Historic District[edit]

Hello. Thanks for the encouragement. The coordinates for the New Fairfield Historical District are 41 degrees, 28 minutes, 6 seconds North and 73 degrees, 29 minutes, 25 seconds West. Postazoic (talk) 07:51, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! The coordinates are now added to the article. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 00:19, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for helping supply geocoordinates for the house. Note that the region code for Connecticut is actually US-CT, not CT. Best wishes, —Stepheng3 (talk) 17:52, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Arg. Thanks for the warning. Wonder how many of those I gotta go back and fix now... Pi.1415926535 (talk) 22:18, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Response from wih_lim re MBTA edits[edit]

This is wih_lim's father. He just turned 7 today and, as you can tell, is very interested and knowledgeable about the MBTA. We didn't realize that, in addition to reading all these Wikipedia articles, he was now starting to edit and start articles, too. After seeing his talk page, we've spoken with him about the need to understand the policies and guidelines before he does this. So, aside from a couple of remaining changes that he wanted to make on his Assembly Square page, he's going to learn the policies and guidelines before doing anything else, and we'll review any changes or new articles that he wants to post after that. Apologies for the problematic edits and such to date. Wih lmi (talk) 18:47, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Atlantic Branch[edit]

Your edit broke the station list. ----DanTD (talk) 00:30, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, if that's what you were striving for. The only real problem is the repetitious references. If cleaning them up breaks it, I may have to revert it again. I think there might be a way this can be avoided, though. ----DanTD (talk) 00:39, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have to admit, I didn't notice you doing that, but I did even out the lines, hoping it would prevent the line breaks. ----DanTD (talk) 01:02, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rape Culture[edit]

Please remember when writing edit summaries that WP:Civility warns that "Silent and faceless words on talk pages and in edit summaries do not transmit fully the nuances of verbal conversation, sometimes leading to misinterpretation of an editor's comments. An uncivil remark can escalate spirited discussion into a personal argument that no longer focuses objectively on the problem at hand," and so later states "be careful with edit summaries." Also please see WP:ES, which states "Avoid inappropriate summaries. Editors should explain their edits, but not be overly critical or harsh when editing or reverting others' work. This may be perceived as uncivil, and cause tension or bad feelings, which makes collaboration more difficult. Explain what you changed, and cite the relevant policies, guidelines or principles of good writing, but try not to target or to single out others in a way that may come across as an attack or an insult." Your recent edit summary to your edit in Rape culture ("Uh. Yeah. Let's make this a little more neutral, shall we") did not adhere to these principles. Thank you. Silver Line Map[edit]

Thanks for the Silver Line (MBTA) map. One suggestion, though: it would be good to indicate in some way that the SL1 loop is at the airport and the letters are terminals. Perhaps add the text "Logan airport terminals" in the upper right corner.--agr (talk) 11:56, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice. I've added the words, but the file sometimes breaks for me. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 22:42, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The new version address my concern fully. Thanks. It works ok for me in the article and when I go to commons and click on the different resolutions, but not the commons page itself. It may be some caching problem. I'd wait a day or two and see if it resolves itself. --agr (talk) 01:09, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks much![edit]

I really appreciate you taking the time to make that correction to the Millstone Township map, thank you! May your π approximations always round downward, Cheers! --joe deckertalk to me 02:14, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

coords[edit]

I was going to ask you how you did some of the geocoords, as some of the ones I had left behind weren't easy, but then I thought< I can look at what you did and figure it out myself. It looks like you are doing the hard slogging needed. I thought maybe you would decide that some of the historical articles didn't need coords if they weren't easy to figure out, but it looks to me like you've done the research. Kudos.

I've often skipped rivers and brooks. I think I read somewhere that the mouth is the preferred location. Is that what you are doing? What about trails? I see one where you picked one terminus, is there a standard?

Oh, and I hadn't noticed that you gave me a barnstar until just now. Thanks. I don't really like that I like barnstars, but I do like them, if that makes any sense.--SPhilbrickT 19:47, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Atlantic Branch[edit]

Hi, I see you've added a map of the Atlantic Branch. Could you please fix the name of the Atlantic Terminal? It hasn't been called Flatbush Avenue for more than a year. New LIRR Atlantic Terminal Pavilion Opens To The Public – Jan 5, 2010 Acps110 (talkcontribs) 07:48, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Central Corridor Line Map Use[edit]

Thank you for your work on the Central Corridor Line Wikipedia page. It was a delight to come across it -- and to see how accurate it is! I am putting together the website for the central corridor website and need a map and see that you've already made a nice one and given the ok to reuse it, which I shall do gladly as the now official central corridor map. Thanks! See http://CentralCorridorLine.com (understand it's a work in progress and neither text nor pictures are "done". File:K-104 (KS) map.svg[edit]

One more request upon reviewing the route description in the article...could you add and label Smolan Road/Mentor Road (the street has one name to the west and one name to the east and it's the street where K-104 turns to the left) and label Ninth Street/Old 81 Highway (I'm not sure which of these names is the official name for the street outside of Salina city limits, but it's the street you have continuing to the north of K-104). Thanks in advance, Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 19:50, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Glad to be of help. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 20:57, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

changes on fixie article (adv and disadvantages)[edit]

Hey. Sort of new to editing Wikipedia articles. I didnt know how to message you privately, apologies if this is not the best way to do it.

Regargding the article, you cut almost all the stuff I added because no references were cited. thats true, but a lot of it didnt need references, for example the percent difference in weight reduction (and a few other things). other things I added to the article probably did need references and I should have added them.

You seem to be involved in editing and contributing to wikipedia, and I dont want to revert back the changes you undid because I feel like you are just going to switch it back. whats the proper etiquette here? how do people settle on what goes or doesnt go into an article?

Thanks, Daniel.

A kitten for you![edit]

<3 so much love, even if the Angell article does get deleted. I would have felt pretty awful if I was on my own this evening. Good luck with the weather and I hope you'll let me buy you a drink if you're ever in LA. Flamingnerd (talk) 05:56, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there Pi,

I noticed that you are interested in trains, and also that you are a nitpicker. If you have time, can you please critique an article I wrote recently? It's Sierra No. 3. I would like to improve it and maybe take it to a Good Article review. Any thoughts you might offer would be appreciated. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 20:36, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
