Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Picturapoesis. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page David Parker (chemist), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 14:13, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

October 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Escape Orbit. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, David Parker (chemist), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not add personal information to Wikipedia pages that has not been published elsewhere. Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:58, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use Wikipedia to reveal personal information about someone that has not already been made public through publication in a reliable source. Thanks. Escape Orbit (Talk) 13:54, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Picturapoesis, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Picturapoesis|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Gyrostat (talk) 15:05, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Socking[edit]

Information icon Hello, Picturapoesis, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Hehehahawakaka (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. VVikingTalkEdits 14:49, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023[edit]

Most of your edits have been to David Parker (chemist). You have been asked above whether you have a conflict of interest. You have now added to your user page My edit is based on my knowledge and research and not related to any commercial interest. If this is the case, why have you three times added the names and years of birth of Parker's children and grandchildren? Also, why have you added promotional text (The College maintains a steadfast dedication to enriching educational prospects) to Tuen Mun District? Tacyarg (talk) 21:44, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is based on my knowledge, I added it again because it has been edited out Picturapoesis (talk) 06:33, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You know the names of Parker's children and grandchildren, and their years of birth, but you do not know or represent Parker? In any case, please do not add these again - see WP:BLPNAME. Tacyarg (talk) 08:51, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
