Hey, why create this in draft space? This stuff is excellent and ready for prime time. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 23:05, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

Hey @Drmies:, thank you. I started it yesterday and it is near done but I was concerned the 1850s-era school might be a different school then the later version (but with the same name/town/religion)? I am currently researching it deeper, it should be done later today. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 23:15, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
Sure thing. I don't think we've met, and so I wasn't sure how experienced you were here and whether maybe you felt it wasn't good enough: it's good enough. ;) Thank you for writing up what I also consider to be important subject matter. Drmies (talk) 23:17, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
@Drmies: Thank you! It is nice to meet a fellow editor here. I look forward to working with you in the future, and hopefully more of this historical Black (and White) schools can get articles! PigeonChickenFish (talk) 23:22, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
Haha thanks--I just saw on your user page you wrote up 521 articles. Thank you for doing so. There's a number of us interested in the topic area; for a few years I wrote a lot of articles on lynchings, but I've also worked a bit on 19th-c literature and schools, and stuff like women's organizations and clubs, an incredibly underrated aspect of American culture of that century. Anyway, I'll let you get on with it. Oh, one more thing: I found it rewarding to put those articles up for WP:DYK, and there are some professional advantages there too (if you're in academia). Maybe you would enjoy getting your stuff on the front page. If so I'll be happy to help. Drmies (talk) 23:30, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
