If you're actually interested in reason..

The deletion of the car club article has nothing to do with political correctness, or personal relationships. There were many invalid arguments in the AFD, but the valid ones all had one thing in common: it's about sources. There was no nontrivial coverage of this group in reliable sources. Can the fake professionalism bullshit. I've been editing Wikipedia since 2003, and the inherent problem is that you dipwads "seek consensus, not truth." The fact that you guys took an AfD submission from a sockpuppet and ignored legitimate sources just because someone called you guys "douchebags" makes me wonder about your judgement. --PilsnerUrquell (talk) 22:16, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm still advocating what I've been advocating all along: disregard who started what, disregard off-topic comments, disregard namecalling, and consider only the question of how much coverage in good sources we have on this topic. Actually, this had lead me to change my mind- new sources are still being found; I think the article should be given some time to develop. On the ignoring legitimate sources, please understand: much of what was presented as legitimate sources was crap. And, yes, this may have caused some people to disregard some sources that weren't crap. We're only human, we make mistakes. Our best hope is being able to correct these mistakes when we recognize them as mistakes. That's what I'm trying to do there. Friday (talk) 16:25, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
