Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/GalingPinas for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. Salvio Let's talk about it! 17:23, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I saw this article in the AfD log. I don't know who GalingPinas is nor do i know what Circball is, only after reading the user's draft article. Looks like his username has been block and the article's abandoned. Article may merit adoption by other editors on their subpage for incubation if they so chose. PinasIto (talk) 17:34, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

It is very, very unusual for a brand new user to stumble upon Wikipedia:WikiProject Abandoned Drafts on her very first day at Wikipedia. It's also very unusual for a brand new user on her first day of using Wikipedia to be familiar with concepts such as adopting an article and incubating it on their subpage. Can you help me understand more about who you are and how you happened to start at Wikipedia in this way? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:41, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. I'm not a brand new user. This is not my first day in the sense of reading WP articles/drafts,etc. I've known and read WP since ten years ago and I'm very familiar with its processes, even without using an account. And it doesn't require to have an account to know the processes of abandoned articles/drafts, Afds and all the other public jargon that you guys use to talk among yourselves about articles. All these are public and anyone can familiarize themselves with any of these topics. Like I said I don't know who GalingPinas is or his/her article Circball, until after I read his/her public drafts. Also, looks like the Circball draft has been abandoned by this blocked user. Other editors are welcome to adopt/contribute to the article itself for further improvement. I don't think its appropriate though to disregard the article itself despite the behavior of the original editor who seem to have a passion on the subject. I'm careful not to adopt this particular article seeing the baggage associated with it with the original editor, that's why i listed it on the adoption page for other editors to consider it. However, listing it in the abandoned pages is neither an endorsement of the original creator's opinions nor an endorsement of the article itself, being a new un-involved editor.. As for the article itself, being from the Philippines and learning that this variant of basketball originated from the Philippines, it peaked my interest. It looks like an interesting article, though not notable as others suggested. PinasIto (talk) 18:53, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Helpful information

[edit]

Let me tell you what's going to happen if you continue this. First, they will blacklist the word "circball", so that any time it comes up it will be deleted, and anybody who mentions it will probably end up blocked. So, right away, let me tell you, what you are trying to do isn't going to work. Hundreds of others have tried it before you and all they have to show for it are their blocked accounts. If you want to get circball into Wikipedia, you're going to first have to stop what you are doing and become a valued contributor. That means turning over a new leaf. Viriditas (talk) 22:19, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's already blacklisted. The fact that I listed it in the Adoption section and someone listing me as a sockpuppet already is an indication of being blacklisted. I don't need circball. But if it is banned or my username banned, it will show exactly what GalingPinas and others have been saying all along as I read it from their logs. There's indeed aggressive censorship here in WP on article creation--delitionists is a common term used. Silencing by these aggressive delitionists of new editors (as GalingPinas puts it in his talkpage) is a real frequent occurrence in WP. I'll be the second person banned for mere listing a banned article that was written by GalingPinas. Are you willing to take that chance too? Viriditas? Would you be fearful to even mention the word Circball on your talk page, right?.
Hey, i'm willing to be a valued contributor to WP, that's why i created this new account. But accusing me of sock puppet is very inappropriate, just because I listed a banned article. I haven't even created my very first Article for crying out loud nor edited one :) This is very disturbing indeed. I'm willing to work with you guys. Does listing it as an abandoned article in the adopted page bothers everyone? Do you want me to put in my sub userpage? (That would be adopting it now.) Maybe you can put it on your own sub userpage, Viriditas so no one can accuse you of sockpuppet. Wouldn't you want other editors to contribute to the improvement of that article? What's the compromise here? PinasIto 22:58, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Blocked as a sock puppet

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet. –MuZemike 23:08, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but please read our guide to appealing blocks first.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Is the word Circball already blocklisted then? why delete it too from the adoption page? Can other non-sockpuppet editors list it then as an abandoned article in the adoption page? Just asking. Can we ask Viritas to do that perhaps, other editor? or can you as an administrator do that? All it needs is the opportunity for the article to be incubated, that's all. No harm done.?

Decline reason:

This is not an unblock request. Hersfold (t/a/c) 23:44, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Ok. Let's try again. Please unblock for 24 hrs so this user can request that other editors to list Circball as an abandoned drafts of the adoption page, if the word Circball is not yet already blocklisted. If this can't be unblocked, I request that other non-sockpuppet editors list it then as an abandoned article in the adoption page or I request that Viritas do that or I request that you as an administrator do that or forward this request to other editors, including Viritas. All it needs is the opportunity for the article to be incubated, that's all. No harm done.

Decline reason:

This is still not an unblock request. If you keep this up, your right to edit your talk page will be revoked again. I have a feeling your next unblock request will be your last, so make it count... Salvio Let's talk about it! 00:01, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(Nit-picking) Technically it is an unlock request, however it is not the sort we are inclined to review. If you are to be unblocked, it will not be for a temporary period. Secondly, you need to address the reasons for your block before we'll even look into unblocking you. If you wanted to make these edits, you should have thought of that prior to your disruption and sockpuppetry. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:27, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PinasIto, I've just revoked your ability to edit your talk page. If you wish to appeal this block, please follow this procedure. Salvio Let's talk about it! 00:55, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
