There is no need. Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy and the point of Wikipedia is that anyone can edit it to correct obvious mistakes. The decision to delete the Bryson Voirin article was an obvious mistake that I corected. The keep votes equalled the delete votes, demonstrating no consensus for deletion. In fact, a simple majority for delete, which the Bryson Voirin vote fell short of, is not even sufficient for demonstrating a consensus for deletion. If you take a look at all the other pages on deletion, you will see that 3 to 1 in favor of deletion is usually required; 2 to one in favor of deletion is borderline. The closing admin commented on his reasons at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Bryson Voirin, if you disagree, post it on deletion review. You are confused about the process. Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy or system of law. [1] Closing the vote on delete was an obvious mistake, if we are to follow the spirt of Wikipedia and "assume good faith." [2] The whole spirit of WIkipedia is that it is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit and "be bold" in correcting the obvious mistakes of even experts and administrators. It is not an obvious mistake if the closing admin provides a reasoning on why he did it, and clearly states that he saw all the votes you saw. You're questioning his judgement in closing the discussion, which merits placing it in deletion review. - Bobet 21:46, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
