Bugatti engine[edit]

Hi Pinot, great article. If you don't mind I will format it to how most of the aircraft engine articles appear on WP. Tunnel 3 on the Moutohora Branch[edit]

Per the photo on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Moutohoratunnel3.jpg the currently understood status of this tunnel is that it is "unsafe to walk through and should not be entered". Are you able to confirm this is the actual Tunnel 3 or another of the tunnels? PatrickDunfordNZ (talk) 23:40, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re Tunnel 3[edit]

Hi Pat - I can confirm it's tunnel 3, at the southern end of the part of the line that's been turned into the walkway. When I was there early in January this year (2010) the tunnel appeared to have been recently cleared and incorporated into the host farm's animal and vehicle circulation system. The image in the article shows the southern portal, and you can see where the vegetation has been cleared off down to ground level. Re safety - in the long ago I used to work underground in Australian mines, and through habit keenly inspected the back (that is, the 'roof' of the tunnel) before entering, and it looked fine to me - or I wouldn't have gone through it.
