I don't disagree with anything you've said about Ms. Zir, and I certainly don't disagree that she is a legitimate actress. However, Wikipedia has very clear guidelines for inclusion for entertainers - I invite you to review WP:BLP and specifically WP:ENTERTAINER:

  • Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television, stage performances, and other productions.
  • Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
  • Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.

None of the points in the article or that you wrote on my talk page met these guidelines. Essentially, the page violated all 3 of Wikipedia's core principles:

  1. As the vast majority of edits were done by users with a vested interest in Ms. Zir's career, it violated WP:NPOV and WP:COI.
  2. The lack of significant independent, 3rd party news items about Ms. Zir made it impossible to verify the article WP:V.
  3. Related to the two points above, since so many of the edits seem to be made by those with personal knowledge of Ms. Zir instead of third party sources, the article violated WP:NOR.

I hope that reading the linked guidelines gives you a better understanding for the purpose of Wikipedia's deletion policy. Sashaman (talk) 06:38, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
