Speedy deletion of "Toposys"[edit]

A page you created, Toposys, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. StaticGull  Talk  13:13, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help Me Question[edit]

I created a Wikipedia Webpage for my company. My company name is TopoSys GmbH. The problem is that I find no link to the page that I created if I don't type correctly the full name with the capital letters... Example: I can only access the page if I type: "TopoSys GmbH" I cannot access the page if I type: "toposys gmbh" I cannot access the page if I type: "TopoSys gmbh" I cannot access the page if I type: "toposys GmbH", etc...

And I cannot view the name of the page in the search history, how can I make a connection to the page independentely of using capital letters or not? Thanks in advance!

Here it is...TopoSys GmbH GtstrickyTalk or C 16:54, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you want the examples above to all lead to your article, you will need to create a page for each different spelling and then put a redirect on each page. Then when people go to one of those pages, it will redirect them to the actual article. Hope I could be of some help! --Skunkboy74 (talk) 16:59, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. StaticGull  Talk  13:50, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. StaticGull  Talk  13:57, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Toposys. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Alexnia (talk) 13:58, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is your very last warning, I repeat, your last warning. Your behaviour will not be tolerable anymore. If you vandalize under this account name again, you will %100 be blocked from ever editing under this name again. You have two options, edit properly or be blocked. It's your call. - --SwisterTwister (talk) 23:46, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of TopoSys GmbH[edit]

I have nominated TopoSys GmbH, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TopoSys GmbH. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:18, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of TopoSys[edit]

Please take a look at WP:CORP and WP:FAQ/Business. Most of the references you provide show that the scanner was utilized in research. The sources are not about the company but just mention the scanner. I am sorry but I still feel the company fails our notability guidelines. I would encourage you to comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TopoSys GmbH as the decision to keep or delete the article is based on consensus not just one person. Couple of things that might help
  • the deletion discussion was started by Ten Pound Hammer not me.
  • here are a couple of the references online that you provided (just FYI) [1], [2], [3], [4]
  • It seems that you are saying the product they offer is notable. Notability is not inherited (or passed down). An example would be 1-800-FREE-411 where the product is notable enough for an article but the parent company is not.

  • Thank you Gtstricky. You have said it for me. Piodsys, I found your lecture that you put on my talk page to be uncivil. AfD discussions are a view point that is expressed and is not personal. --Pmedema (talk) 14:26, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TopoSys GmbH Logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TopoSys GmbH Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:26, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
