[edit]

Re: Arnold Berliner

[edit]

I am terribly sorry about reverting your edits on Arnold Berliner. I should have paid closer attention to the edit summary and your previous edits. The article looks much better after your edits and I hope your cleanup goes well. – Zntrip 17:33, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

no problem, thanks for your reply. Plehn (talk) 19:33, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've started a stub on him. There's load more in this PNAS profile and in the German article. Fences&Windows 22:13, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! - I am not really fluent in English, so I cannot add much. He is a very notable scientist, and there are some rumours (not more, I admit) that he did not get a good position in Germany for political reasons. Plehn (talk) 09:25, 5 November 2010 (UTC) - PS: what I call rumours was documented in the New Scientist - I should better read before writing. Plehn (talk) 09:53, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you could summarise here what you think is important about his work and life, I can add it in and find sources. Fences&Windows 21:06, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your recent contributions to one of Wikipedia's Slovenia-related articles. Given the interest you've expressed by your edits, have you considered joining WikiProject Slovenia? We are a group of editors dedicated to improving the overall quality of Wikipedia's Slovenia-related content. If you would like to join, simply add your name to the list of participants. Please see our list of open tasks for ideas on where to get started.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page. We look forward to working with you in the future! Eleassar my talk 20:35, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was in the same situation a couple of years ago, when I started editing Wikipedia. This is about getting support to the project and an overview of all the people who regularly edit Slovenia-related articles. You're kindly invited to add your name to the list, even if you intend to just correct typos or create lists. By the way, your English is quite good. Regards. --Eleassar my talk 12:11, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

by the way: my list should be usable in the slovenian WP too (slovenian names are included) - there is already a list, correct? - see http://sl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seznam_muzejev_v_Sloveniji - this can be extended Plehn (talk) 16:45, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Of course. The list can be extended in the Slovene Wikipedia too, but I suggest that at least for the English Wikipedia, in the preparation of the list the WP:CLUB guideline is followed. I'll appreciate you ordering a copy of the booklet for me too (if it's for free). Thanks a lot. --Eleassar my talk 22:34, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I admit that I did not read the WP:CLUB guideline intensively - I did not see any problems with notability - if the Museums/Collections are Members of the Museums association of Slovenia, their notability is clear. If they are listed in the cultural profile (http://www.culturalprofiles.org.uk/slovenia/Directories/Slovenia_Cultural_Profile/-4360.html) they should be notable too. It is not necessary to produce stubs for all museums, so the list can be delinked. But at first it is interesting, which articles exist, and which not. Best wishes Plehn (talk) 18:54, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Öledog

[edit]

Yes, that user page was speedy-deletable - thanks for tagging it. The right tag would have been {{db-spam}}. If you are going to patrol new pages (which is a good and useful thing to do) you need to read WP:CSD carefully. There is good advice for speedy taggers at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:01, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this hint! (until now I never asked for deletion in this WP) - I will not patrol new pages. Plehn (talk) 19:33, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: User:KingDarkKING

[edit]

Hello Plehn. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:KingDarkKING, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 12:41, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, sorry for that. I am not really used to Deletion requests in the english WP Plehn (talk) 13:22, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Peter Gruss, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Darmstadt University (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

List of Museums in Slovenia for german wiki

[edit]

I found someone for you ... see de:Benutzer Diskussion:Plehn#List of Museums in Slovenia. --Pinky sl (talk) 17:44, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
