Hello, Pmatsuda, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created was Paul Kei Matsuda, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself has been or will shortly be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, but if you want to use the content from it, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Bradjamesbrown (talk) 00:51, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Paul Kei Matsuda requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Status and Advice

[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I think the article shows some evidence of notability, so I did not delete it. What it needs is more detail. It should include a list of major works written and edited, because that;s usually how people meet WP:PROF. (I note that Associate Professor is not considered automatic notability here.) I advise you to do this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process. DGG ( talk ) 17:53, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This was not an incorrect edit; the contributor was trying to withdraw the article. I did delete it according by speedy, at his request. DGG ( talk ) 18:15, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
