GMOs[edit]

I see that one of your students is planning to edit Genetically modified food controversies. Editing any content relating to GMOs is subject to some very strict restrictions enacted by the Wikipedia Arbitration Committee (Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Genetically modified organisms#Remedies, Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions, and Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Genetically modified organisms). It can be a very difficult subject area for an inexperienced editor, and there is a significant risk of an unpleasant student experience. You may want to advise your student about these issues, and perhaps redirect her to a different subject. Please feel free to ask me at User talk:Tryptofish or check with Adam (Wiki Ed) about anything related to what I have said here. Thanks! --Tryptofish (talk) 21:17, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
