Peer Review[edit]

Hello Team,

Great Work. Home automation is a fascinating topic to work on. Explanations are very clear and precise in both the sections. I felt it would be great if you can add more information in the history section, there is a lot more to talk about home automation history. Applications of home automation are many and cannot be concised. It would be good if you can add more information about technologies used for home automation to take this article in a much better shape. Hello Sumanth,

You have chosen a interesting article. Home automation is the residential extension of building automation and involves the control and automation of lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and security, as well as home appliances such as washer/dryers, ovens or refrigerators/freezers that use WiFi for remote monitoring. Your explanations are very clear and precise. A good lead and history section is very important for home automation and I think you have achieved it. You might improve more in applications and technologies, there is lot more to explain in this section. Try to add more citation and references.

Hello Sumanth,

The two sections which you have drafted were good and informative. Home automation can be improved a lot in applications and technologies area. Every year we will have some coolest technologies which need to be included in the article. After analyzing your article i suggest you to add latest technologies on home security and lightning and the centralized echo systems. Looking forward to see some more improvements in your article.--Cranjithkumarreddy (talk) 03:35, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Home Automation article peer review - Alex Vardanega[edit]

Hi Sumanth, good starting point, home automation is an interesting topic and I look forward to see how your team can improve this article. I have a few comments that could help you enhance your sections a bit more:

  • In the History section, the first two sentences "Twenty first century..." and "A revolution..." although factual in my opinion don't add much to the context of this section which is to provide a chronology of this technology.
  • Still in the History section, the sentence "In a home automation system..." is good but it belongs to the initial definition section rather than the History section.
  • In the Applications and Technology section, the sentence "The wireless technologies have evolved and its progress can be observed..." seems to have a grammar problem but I'm not 100% sure about it... I believe it should read "their progress" instead of "its progress".
  • You have listed some references but didn't add inline citations, therefore it makes it difficult to validate how the article edits relate to the references cited.
