Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Polimerek, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --LV (Dark Mark) 15:51, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, actually, I had seen that you had been here forever, but had never been officially welcomed. So I thought I'd be the first to do so. I always feel bad for people who have never gotten a message, and like to mae them feel included. Plus the links are good for "oldcomers" too, you know, for reference type stuff. Normally I would have at least given you my personalised welcome message, but was feeling rather lazy this evening. Oh well, see you around, my friend. --LV (Dark Mark) 00:25, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GC picture

[edit]

Hi Polimerek,

I thought you might enjoy taking a look at the chemistry portal, specifically the "Selected Picture." I think the picture looks quite artistic, don't you? Many thanks, Walkerma 19:19, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Silicon Nanotube

[edit]

That article had been temporarily protected from recreation after a vandal was repeated recreating the page with nonsense/contextless content, as specified by the WP:SALT policy. I have unprotected the page now, though, so your friend can go ahead and create the new page. Cheers, DDG 16:43, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:contact

[edit]

Polymer data in the Polish wikipedia

[edit]

I was trying to understand the numbers in the Chemboxes you put in the Polish wikipedia, but there's something I can't understand. If "Google translator" is right, pl:Temperatura mięknięcia corresponds to Softening temperature (Softening point); however, when checking the data in, for example, pl:Polilaktyd, it seems that 173 °C is not the softening temperature, which should be around 50 or 60, from this Web search: Soda Cups Made of Sugar, Production of foamed polylactide injection moldings of high strength and rigidity, Bioplastics, etc. Albmont (talk) 21:07, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2013

[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Sarmīte Ēlerte may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 12:23, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Share your success strategies with the movement

[edit]

Hi Polimerek,

I work with Learning and Evaluation team at WMF to help Wikimedia organizations and volunteers from different communities share lessons they have learned in planning programs. Right now I am working with program leaders to improve the Photo Event Toolkit (linked below). Based on your reports and successes in Wiki Loves Monuments, I think that other program leaders in the movement would benefit from learning more about how you plan and run photography programs.

Wikimedia Ukraine told me that Wikimedia Polska plans very successful Wiki Expeditions, and that they want to know more about how you do it. I added links to your report to a learning pattern on the subject and would like to know if you (or someone who has experience organizing Wiki Expeditions) would be willing to answer a few questions to expand the learning pattern.

Would you be willing to answer a few questions by email, on a talk page or on a 30 minute call or IRC chat about planning successful Wiki Loves contests and Wiki Expeditions?

I hope we get a chance to speak soon, as I am very keen to learn more about your work.

If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. History of the Poles in the United States

[edit]

Given your high fluency in Polish, I am reaching out to you in regards to the History of the Poles in the United States article. It has no Polish equivalent, and any time you can spend towards translating in any capacity would be much-appreciated. I would be more than happy to help any way that I can.

Thank you! Pola.mola (talk) 20:19, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

TheFamousPeople.com as a source

[edit]

Hi Polimerek. I noticed that you recently used thefamouspeople.com as a source for biographical information in Amy Winehouse. Please note that there is general consensus that thefamouspeople.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for such information. (Discussions here and here). If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 16:45, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
